Patients & Partners

This system will save your time and reduce your stress.

Keeping your friends and family informed is an important part of dealing with cancer.  It is good for you because sharing with those you care about is healing, and it is good for them because they feel like they are being included.

The process of actually telling everyone about your condition, though, can be time-consuming, difficult, and stressful.

Until now.

The Patient/Partner Project allows you to post private updates about your treatment and condition on this website, and then notifies everyone on your private list so that they can read them.

And, since your family and friends will feel like they are "in the loop," you will be amazed at how much less time you will spend on the telephone.

All services are provided free of charge.

Your privacy is protected - see our privacy policy here.

Here's how it works.

1. Register as a "patient/partner" member of The Patient/Partner Project by completing the online forms.

You will select a unique "Member ID" which must be used by anyone who wants to access your private update messages.  If someone doesn't know your ID, they can't see what you've written.  Share your ID with only those people that you want to have access to your updates.

2. Invite your family and friends to join your private list by filling in a simple form. (You will see how to do this later.)

Each person that you have invited will then be sent an email invitation to register as a "family/friend" member of The Patient/Partner Project so that they can receive update reports posted by you.  If they do not register, they will not receive emails when you post your updates.

3. Post regular progress reports whenever you feel the need. (You will see how to do this later.)

The Patient/Partner Project will then send an email to everyone on your private list with a direct link to the message you just posted. (Only those who responded to your invitation and registered will receive the email.) They will also be able to look at past messages if they wish.

You can post new messages whenever it is convenient for you, any time of the day or night.

It's that simple!
